Entered the world of iPod this week. Only complaint is how many hours of my life I'll lose downloading songs & burning CDs. May look into German earphones that don't beam the sound directly into the eardrum. Coworker has (and highly recommends) these headphones and is planning on getting the earphones.
This carpool is turning out to be very cool. I'm meeting people from all parts of the company. And I'm getting a lot of good information both about the company and general topics.

Meant to be?
Last night I found this add on craigslist. This would be an awesome place to "live-with-someone" since it's 3000 per month.I think it is totally gorgeous and it was pet friendly w/ a yard! I love the openness and multi-level. Maybe I should view it just for fun : )

"From your deck in the midst of a back yard and garden, you can see sweeping views of downtown, the Bay Bridge, Berkeley, Oakland and, of course, the San Francisco Bay itself. This spacious one-bedroom, one-bath apartment offers a “floating” bedroom, large living/dining room as well as an office/den overlooking the garden and yard. The space features copious storage capacity and a wide-open design on multiple levels. 15-foot high windows bathe the area in light, and the garden area has its own irrigation system. This jewel lies in the heart of Potrero Hill, known for its easy parking, magnificent views and friendly neighbors. 719 Rhode Island St. at 19th St. "
Then last night I had a dream about owning/riding a motorcycle around the city. I think it would be relatively safe to ride in the city. City traffic doesn't get over 35mph so the risk of getting killed is a little less. Not that I'm ready to take that risk....just saying... Besides since I work over-the-bridge-and-through-the-tunnel it wouldn't save me any money.
***The crazy thing is this morning, on my way to work, I saw the perfect bike for me. It was a Yamaha black&chrome. It's a smaller (girl-sized) touring bike not a sport bike. And the girl riding it had the cutest chic leather bike jacket. How freaky is that?? I have a dream about owning a motorcycle then see the perfect one I would get the next morning. Here is a picture from yamaha.com that is close.

Sight Seeing
Finally have access on the work laptop : )
Busy Week. Mom was visiting and we toured the bay area. 3 days of hiking, one day of SF landmarks. And two days of work makes for a full week. Have pictures in the link below.
Took a pontoon boat tour of the Elkhorn Slough down by Monteray Bay. Saw 190+ Harbour Seals, 70+ Sea Otters, & many sea/shore birds. Up in Point Reyes, we saw a Bobcat. At Pinnacles (so far my favorite place) we saw: wild turkey, wild boar, hummingbird, deer, jackrabbits, frogs. Point Lobos had harbour seals & Sea lions as well as tame squirrels : )
The Winchester Rifle Mansion was built by Sara Winchester. She was sort of crazy and keep adding on to the house her whole life. It has 160 rooms, 40 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and around 25,000 sqft. Which was a lot for 1920 (aprox) when she died.

Been a while
Haven't updated the blog in a while due to circumstance. My friend's laptop was stolen and I lent her mine. I can't seem to access the blog editor from my work laptop : ( Also my work laptop does not surf off my neighbor's wireless as well as mine does. Anyway, not too much going on right now. Decided Birkham yoga is just too warm unless it's really cold outside. So I found another studio but haven't been yet. There is a massage school just 3 blocks down from where I work. I went there today during lunch for a discounted student massage. It was pretty good. Since it is affordable, close, and I'm saving money carpooling, I'll try weekly/bi-monthly massages for a while. We'll see if that helps stress/mood/muscle tension.
I've been carpooling daily on the commute home. My company has a mailing list for people who want to carpool to San Francisco to save on the $4 bridge toll. That's $20 per week saved, Yeah! Plus it's kind of fun to watch the flurry of emails starting at 3pm for rides & riders. It's sort of like whack the groundhog game. You try to snap up riders fast, haha. Yesterday I even traded my riders : ) As you can see this is actually a bright spot in my work day..... And this week we started a morning carpool with people who live on my route in. $2 per person per morning ride adds up $$ Plus we all get to work earlier : ) I've met people in different parts of the company too. A couple of the girls are a little crazy in a fun & interesting way. Makes for a fun/fast commute.
Stopped in a Russian bakery yesterday and had some cheese piroski. It was interesting. I want to try a potato one next. I also want to try this Egyptian place on my street. Supposedly it's the only Egyptian restaurant in the city.

Around 8:40. Building shook and the cats looked up from their nap. Dogs didn't do anything. Website confirmed it. Oooh I get to fill out a shake survey : )
